Brittany grew up in the small town of Monticello, which is located in Eastern Iowa. She graduated from Monticello High School in 2011. She then attended the University of Northern Iowa before obtaining her J.D. at Drake University Law School. She enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, drawing, and making crafts with her daughter.
Practice Areas: general practice, including, but not limited to, workers’ compensation, civil litigation, insurance defense, family law, estate planning, and real estate transactions.
Education: B.A. in Communication, University of Northern Iowa, 2015. J.D., with “Honors”, Drake University Law School, 2018. While at Drake University Law School, Brittany was a member of the Drake Law Review, first as a junior staff member and later as an Article Editor. She also practiced as a student attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic for two semesters.
Professional Associations and Memberships: Blackstone Inns of Court, Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association. Brittany is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.
Publications: Brittany’s student Note, “Surrogacy and Parental Rights: A Need for Uniformity in the Law”, was selected for publication in Drake Law Review’s online journal, Discourse. It was published in October of 2018.
